Hello! My name is Mathieu Polo and I was born and raised in Brussels, Belgium. After graduating with a master in Advertising, I moved to Australia to complete a master in Arts & Media in order to specialize myself in creative and cultural arts in media and communication.

There, I had the opportunity to investigate media and creative output in new technology environments which gave me a strong knowledge and experience in new communication technologies and creative production.

I consider myself as a passionate person with a strong interest in new media technologies, especially in the web area and with a never ending will to discover, touch and learn new things.

In 2009, I moved to the USA and I am currently living in Denver, Colorado with my wife and I’m very happy with life here.

Setup

I work on a 2009 unibody MacBook Pro but I am looking to upgrade to a MacBook Air. The softwares I use on a regular basis are Reeder for my RSS feeds, Sparrow for emails, Dropbox to keep everyhting in sync and Alfred, the perfect application launcher.

I also use intensively my iPhone 4S to take most of my pictures and some occasional blogging using the Squarespace mobile app.

Almost all the writing is done with iA Writer, an amazing text editor I recently discovered that allows me to easily write using Markdown.
